My brother Kalani Fitisemanu III was called to serve a 2 Year mission for the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints & to labor in the Apia, Samoa mission:)
He left march 21st into the MTC in provo & should be departing to Samoa around the end of May!
For those of you who may not understand what a mission is
Any worthy young man who is able to serve, should serve a mission for a period of 2 years preaching & teaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Woman are also allowed to serve a mission for a period of a year & a half but it is not required for woman as it is for young men.
The men are able to leave for their mission at the earliest age of 19 to the latest age of 25
& for woman is 21 to 25
where they are labored to serve is merely in the hands of the lord & the first presidency of the church prays for these specific young men to receive revelation of where they should go where they can do their best & where they can grow spiritually, physically, mentally & emotionally & serve those to the best of their abilities as Members of Gods Army.
Missionaries serve the lord for 2 years so they can be with their families for eternity.
Serving a mission is the most unselfish thing you could ever do, you give 2 years of your life for the Lord to help build his kingdom & teach his sons & daughters the true & restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am so proud of Kalani & the decision he made to serve the lord.
I love him so much, & even though we may not have gotten a long %100 of the time my love for him & all my siblings are unconditional.
I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. I have felt it & i can not deny it.
if any of you who come across this & have questions feel free to visit
or ask me:)
till next time
keep it real
